How the Auto Fuel Injection

This time I'm going to explain that behind this system is from the early twentieth century, but that its implementation costs will not be made a lot of promotion. In English means Fuel Injection, but the carburetor is not responsible for that? yes, but there are details that makes the Fuel Injection system as the highest performance.

Thus, both as the Fuel Injection Carburetor work in a precise mixture of air-fuel (14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel), at which point the carburetor fails over time and that it maintains tolerance in mixture adjustment, to allow adjustment, if the mixture is rich (12 to 1) can damage valves and pistons, and if it is very poor (16 to 1) the motor loses strength and may pollute the environment more than they should.

said, the Fuel Injection system has the advantage of having a constant monitoring of sensors placed in strategic sites of the motor, adjust the mixture obeying the program on your computer (located on the board) and the fuel injection will be always accurate, allowing less polluting emissions.

As we see in the diagrams the carburetor is replaced by this system and the engine suffers a few design changes for the placement of the sensors, we see that the function of each sensor and regulators:

kindled in Cold Valve: When the engine is cold, it takes fuel injector system when the engine warms up, goes down, is activated by a switch.

Temperature Sensor: its function is to review the water temperature to the engine after the thermostat, it also functions as a switch turning on or off the electric fan radiator. Http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiador

Mass Air Sensor: It has a filament inside the bulbs similar to the computer power is applied to the filament and the air passing through the sensor cools, the computer insists on keeping it warm, in response to variations in the voltage, the computer activates the injectors, which spray enough gas for the engine to work, taking account of both the air I walk like gasoline sprayed with the right mix (14.7 parts air to 1 part gasoline)

Air Flow Sensor: Unlike the previous, does not have a filament, it takes the air coming from the outside of it, pushing the door of the air intake, this happens when accelerating, so its function is to measure the incoming air, send the information to the computer and this determines the fuel for which the exact mixture.

position sensor Throat: This sensor also helps the computer to determine the air / fuel mixture, has an electrical connector that receives a reference voltage of the computer, the speed opens the throttle plate comes outside air, causing an alteration in the voltage reference. This is interpreted by the computer program according to the injectors active long enough to achieve the air / fuel mixture accurately.

Crankshaft Position Sensor: Use more than all direct ignition engines http://mecanicavirtual.iespana.es/dis.htm since no dealer has this sensor is responsible for informing the computer when the piston reaches the maximum stroke and this signal is used by the computer in accordance with the ignition module to generate the spark.

Sensor Manifold Absolute Pressure: Measure the vacuum in the intake manifold, helping the computer to determine the amount of gasoline required in different phases.

Oxygen Sensor: This sensor is not receiving power, the contrary is produced, this sensor works only hot, is responsible for smelling the gases of combustion will escape to help monitor the status of the air / fuel mixture if the gas sent to the exhaust are highly polluting or not, produces voltage signal that translates the computer editing mixing and / or advance or retard the ignition timing.

Water Temperature Sensor: This sensor helps fuel consumption by reference to the temperature of the water, remember that a cold engine consumes more fuel than a warm one.

Assistant Air Controller: I have in most cases the Japanese cars (Nissan, Toyota ... etc) enters auxiliary air when the engine is cold.

Well I hope that this description of this system is useful in next post will explain how the Scanner.
